It seems the Italian radio stations have been irked by Italian singers. They are not sending new songs Antonacci, magpies, Turci, Ferreri, Mengoni, Pausini, Malika Ayane, Zilli, Naomi, Emma, of Dari and many others and would decide all, not to put also broadcast the next releases. The motive behind such a move maybe is copyright litigation.

Many local Italian singers are anyways hit hard by file sharing and piracy, and now the Italian radio stations move to stub them out is not something they will like. To shake the industry’s recent agreement between SIAE and record that the current rights are charged to transmit the radio songs, almost 5% on gross sales, they would like to add a further 4%. Broadcasters complain that they would receive a fair compensation as through radio broadcasting some really handsome profits are made, when compared to revenue from CD sales and tickets for concerts.
